Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan Wednesday inaugurated 293kms lengthy Hakla-DIKhan motorway, this route is an important part of the western route of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
Hakla-DI Khan motorway has around 11 interchanges, 36 bridges, 33 flyovers and 119 underpasses. Which will help in transforming DI Khan as one of the main business & commercial hubs in KPK Province. This will link South Punjab and Balochistan. It will ease the supply of agricultural produce to different parts of the country.
He said that development should be ‘always inclusive’ without focusing on a particular part of society.
The PM said Hakla-DI Khan would attach those areas which were not developed before. The lack in facilities forced the residents of DI Khan and Mianwali to migrate to developed cities, which also resulted in the brain drain and flight of talent.
Mr. Murad Saeed said NHA had completed work on about 2032 KMs of roads and also planned construction of further 7889 kms roads network.
